Apparently dressing in “old money style” is a thing now among some people.

I’m feeling increasingly out of touch with stuff like this as I get older. What interests me is the reported underlying socio economic drivers.

Just another form of vanity wrapped in a sort of pretentious victimhood I says.

    Thoughts.

This looks like a rerun of the 1980's. Preppies', Yuppies, and the (slightly desperate) attempts to appear successful. I guess it's OK, but I prefer the stealth wealth style of the today's genuine upper class.

I've seen this stuff on Tik-Tok, even the mainstream media is getting into the act.

Is this what you mean or do the Americans have it all wrong? (As I expect.)

If this article has it right, half my wardrobe is "old-money" and I never knew.

Sounds like another "It is what you want it to be" nonsense.
