There is a sentence at the entry page to Tournaments:
Tournament games time out automatically 2 days after the timeout period expires.
Is this not supposed to be "Timebank"?

No this is "grace period" and sometimes the system doesn't do an automated timeout then.

You can take the timeout yourself a second after the timebank has ticked away (and the oppoenent didn't make a move, they can do that without time and have their timeout time again)

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure I am any the wiser. It all sounds very complicated, 🤔 No doubt one day the penny will drop!

Short: The system is thought to take the timeout, but often doesn't.

You can take the time-out as soon as the sull arrives.

And if you are waiting for another game to finish don't hold your breath.
    🙂
