I won in III round against local player, high ranked in Andorra's frames.
But this game was curious. (*Or peculiar, I have no dictionaries.)
He played so fast that was almost insulting. At the end of the game he has all his time 1:28 and I had less than 14 minutes.
(It is 90 + 30 + 30 sec.)
I guess he was in a great hurry for some reason, maybe to randevoux with a woman aside his marriage, or to colon cleansing to his best but-bossom-buddy.
I would suggest that you first replay whole game (if you have time and will for it of course) without reading comments.
At first glance, the game looks like a unit, with no bigger mistakes.
But there were several twists, which no one noticed during the game.
1. Nf3 Nf6 2. c4 d5 3. cxd5 c5 4. dxc6 {If I were 100 years younger, I would play 4. e4 which was natural and better move.} Nxc6 5. g3 {cowardly, but I thought there might be a trap somewhere, with quick Bc5, Ng4, Nxf2 etc.} e5 6. d3 {Mistake. Now Black had chance for e4. I was afraid of e4, but after 6. Bg2 e4 I have 7. Ng5! and with following d3 it is good for me. I should have known this.} Bc5 {He missed the chance.} 7. Bg2 O-O {Here again he could play …e4 with an initiaitive. Now I was relaxed: I realized I didn’t fall into a trap.} 8. O-O Be6 9. Nc3 Qc7 10. Ng5 Bg4 11. h3 Bd7 12. Nge4 Be7 {Little better was …Nxe4; Black played so fast as it was blitz; I think he was in a hurry for a randevoux with a lover or some other urgent reason (colon-cleansing, for example)} 13. Nxf6 Bxf6 14. Nd5 Qd6 15. Nxf6 Qxf6 16. f4 {During the game, I believed that 16. Be3 would lead to passive position and was proud of this move. But Be3 was ok, and also boring 16 b3!} Rad8 17. f5 Nd4 18. g4 {?; I should play e3. Now I lost all advantage.} Qb6 {? He is returning me all advantage.} 19. e3 Nb5 20. a4 Nd6 21. d4 exd4 22. Qxd4 Qc7 23. b4 {?; 23. e4! But I wanted just to suffocate Black.} Bc6 24. Bb2 {?? I was convinced I had dead-won position. I “calculated” 24. …Nxf5 25. Qc3 and was happy. But we both missed next move 25. …Qg3! and Blck wins! Narrow margine for me this time! But he played so fast that it was almost insulting. He served him right.} f6 25. Qc5 {? 25. Rac1!} Qe7 {He had …Ne4! with good chances. Even …Nf7 was better.} 26. Bxc6 bxc6 27. Rad1 Qc7 {Aha, perpetual check is treathening.} 28. Rf4 Rfe8 29. Rc1 Ne4 30. Qc4+ Kh8 31. Bd4 {And now he took illegally my Bishop with his Knight and had concenquently to take Bishop on d4 by is Rook due j’doube rule. I believe, though, that he just wanted an excuse to finnish the game because he, as said, was in great hurry. Colon cleansing is so refreshing on stuffy warm Andorran weather!} Rxd4 32. Qxd4 Ng3 33.Re1 Re4 34. Rxe4 {No perpetual check.} Nxe4 35. Qxe4 Qg3+ 36. Kf1 Qxh3+ 37. Ke2 Qh2+ 38. Kd3 Qd6+ 39. Kc2 Qh2+ 40. Kb3 {He shook hands and ran away from the hall. There was probably a MILF waiting somewhere for him with now little bit chilled Andorran meal and bottle of wine, or his colon-master with nice lubricated garden hose for his ar.rss. On the clock, I had 14 minutes and he had 1 hour 28 min.!}
