Ok I know there is currently a post running for wins in under 20 moves but the water gets bit murky when the win was through resignation or timeout. I dont think these should count unless the mate can be forced in under 20. (I know there may be some who disagree with this but should it really count just cause my opponent went on holiday for a fortnight on move three and I timed him out??)
How about we start one which deals only with MATEs in under 20 & those games where the mate could at least be forced within 20 moves?

I didnt say it was - all im saying is that the game must end by move 20 and we should only count timeouts or resignations IF there is a forced mate available within the 20 move limit.

Yeah Ravello I do like that - quite a bit as it happens.
The reason i started the thread was because i wondered how may times i'd fall into these traps (and I can see it would be a lot if my opponents so wished lol) but im glad to see that a mid 1400 player can fall just as easily π
[edit] It also gives me a chance to view some of the things i should NOT be doing during my openings & believe me I can do with as much help as possible here lol
