@averagejoe1said Is the girl we talking about being programmed all these years to be an activist and you want me to be her friend and to protect her rights?
Well you seem to want those who are barely hanging on to vote in favor of your excuses. Even though the politics you subscribe to clearly only favor the wealthy, you would have societies battlers take on your causes, as if validating more opportunities for the well off will trickle down and make their life better?
The policies you favor give you a ringside seat to the demise of a once great society. By adopting a stance against people your class deems less worthy, you are part of the force that continues to divide and fracture social cohesion. But you've learnt to blame everything and everyone else. Enjoy the descent into dystopia.
@shavixmirsaid Well, this is one for the books.
The UK is paying Rwanda, a country the UK itself has criticised for its lack of human rights, 250 million pounds and a further 150.000 pounds per refugee, to accept asylum seekers who “illegally” enter Britain.
It will cost the British tax payer 63.000 pounds per refugee more than keeping the refugee in Britain.
It’s obviously a schem ...[text shortened]... said guarantees that anyone sent there would not risk being returned to their home country.[/quote]
It's not just America living in a post truth world.
@spruce112358said That's what I've been saying - the previous company traded or was valued in the $13-17 range. The merger made plenty of money even before the IPO. And at $22.76, that's still up 70% from a year ago.
HOWEVER,
The problem is that the stock price currently looks like a skier heading down Mt Everest with no parachute!
Yup it's white knuckle time as people are unwilling to take a loss and believe instead that DJT will turn around. They never got the memo. That the market might turn eventually but not before it's burnt a hole in your account and left you bleeding.
OK, please enlighten me (since you clearly know more than the rest of the people here) what are the reasons Trump might have to want to attack a judge who is presiding over this NY trial?
This is the kicker. This is proof positive of Trump's narcicism. Read Shav's post if you can't connect the dots Whatever Trump understands or truly believes, he has totally miscalculated the behavior required to be a President or ex. And him dragging the Presidency through a torrid version of a WWF challenge is something a majority of Americans will never validate. Trump has yet to realize that he is not bigger than the Presidency and that his behavior as a candidate provokes a deep cognitive dissonance even among his ardent supporters.
And obviously this is not a critique of you mchill but rather a riff on your view to school the maganuts among us who steadfastly cling to their fantasies.
@shavixmirsaid He’s a narcissist.
Everything is about defending his weak little ego.
A judge has power over him, and that is not possible (in his mind), so he lashes out, constantly bending truths and facts to suit what his ego needs.
It’s actually quite fascinating to see it play out like this. Most narcissists are quiet about it and just beat up their wives and the like.
I agree but I think he's working with an outdated set of skills that worked very well for him, until the me too movement came along. The world has changed and no longer validates or enables his behaviour and the old dog he is, is unable to learn new tricks.
@sleepyguysaid You are saying the right wing doesn't want people to learn useful skills?
If by useful skills you mean repetitive tasks that can be learned in half a day and can be paid for by a fraction of the living wage, then you've got that about right.
