New thinking that the bubble surrounding the solar system may be more circular than comet shaped, apparently because of the interstellar magnetic field being much stronger than previously thought.

This led to a thought from me:

Could the interstellar magnetic field be strong enough to make for a propulsion system, interstellar propulsion, based on just using magnetic fields? If you have a huge ring with an alternating field of some sort, wouldn't that make for a propulsion system on its own, without the need for light sails and such or rockets spitting out fuel?
