I wouldn't judge people in their own environment. They're, after all, in
their turf. But, as tourists, you can see people out of their habitat and,
henceforth, as in a petri dish where they can bee observed and analyzed
in a sort of semi-isolation, with exogenous elements and strange stimuli
lancing out very particular behaviors.
I've seen all kinds of Americans/Brits, Germans, Japanese, and Africans
touristing, and you get all flavors, from the polite and respectful to the
outright animalistic. However, the ones consistently ranking among the
worst are the Chinese. This, of course, comes from my own ethnographic
notes but, truth be told, I do not recall other country organizing courses
and pamphlets to show their people how to behave when traveling abroad.
