Actually that was the first form I learned some thirty years ago.
Now I am doing á mxi of diverse types leaning mainly on methods from Person centered therapy enriched with the structural Approach of individual therapy and a few things from behaviour therapy.

From personal knowledge (an immediate family member) I know that ECT does perform miracles in some situations. I also know ECT patients who achieved no benefit, so it's a lucky dip.

I think it's a good idea to get robust qualified professional cognitive therapy when appropriate. I've seen a councillor myself for help with managing stress a few years ago. It was useful.
