"Voting for Trump because you think the system is corrupt is like buying a car on eBay because you hate dealerships. You weren't wrong in your assessment, but your solution was impulsive and grotesquely misinformed[...]This was about basic lack of education in America, combined with apathy and spite. And for that reason, we passed up one of the most experienced candidates ever in favor of a shifty man with zero background in politics. Name a single fu**ing job where you'd rather have an "outsider" in charge, you goddamn children."

"On his first meeting with Obama, Trump was apparently so overwhelmed by the position that our soon-to-be-ex-president agreed to spend extra-special time tutoring him on the job. As one blogger recently pointed out, the best revenge Obama could have taken was to treat Trump as an equal and assume he knew the functions of the Executive Branch. Instead, Obama took pity on this toasted clown of a man. Because that's what a real president does -- he shows humility and thinks about the bigger picture, and doesn't act like some petty fu**ing nobody."

I don't see why Trump would hate being president. It seems he's appointing others to do his work for him. He's already been open about letting Pence take care of foreign and domestic affairs.

I'm glad Obama took the extra time to help Trump. Scumbag or not, he's still going to be our president. Letting Trump screw up as Commander-in-Chief would hurt the entire country. Sure, he could let Trump embarrass himself; but once the laughs are over, there is still a nation to go back to.

Being President makes him immune to prosecution for any illegal business dealings or tax evasion.

Maybe not officially, but de facto

Trump came out of that meeting with Obama looking like the boogie man slapped him around. Trump supporters are going to find out the hard way "The Donald" is made up of 4% substance and 96% hot air. It should make for an entertaining 4 years.

    Heh.

Possibly the only good thing about Trump winning is that we get a nonstop supply of crybaby tantrums from left wing losers.

I agree. If the Democrats were as smart as they claim, they'd be thinking about what went wrong and taking steps to correct it, instead of behaving like spoiled children. Crybaby tantrums are not going to win them any more voters.

yeh, about 10 republican hearings, fbi investigations couldn't find anything to pin on her but Trump might put her in jail (which he, magnanimously, said he won't)

I do give many mainstream outlets like the NY Times and even some MSNBC hosts like Chris Matthews credit for examining what about the Democratic agenda could cause them to lose to an arrogant buffoon like Trump (this soul searching would also have been appropriate in the even of a narrow win).

The far-left blogosphere like HuffPo, DailyKos and the rest seem totally incapable of coming to grips with the fact that they actually lost the election. The only approach they seem satisfied with is to scream fraud, racism or both.

Incidentally, the pastings the Dems took in 2010 and 2014 plus the enormous looses they've suffered at the state level should have been the canary in the coal mine. But Obama's popularity (which was probably based on his personality and charisma, not necessarily his agenda) masked the illness of the Dem agenda until it was too late.

I for one think Trump is going to enjoy the next 4 maybe 8 years.
He may be a narssisist like Obama, but at least his agenda will be much more likely to please the American people.
I don't think he will be bowing to foreign dignitaries or apologizing for America.
I think he was genuine when he said he wanted to make America great again, put people back to work, clean out the swamp, and cut off the flow of illegal aliens coming across the border.

Since polling consistently shows that virtually none of the Republican agenda enjoys anywhere near majority support, it would seem that Democrats and others who support majority rule should concentrate on removing the barriers to it that Republicans have been busily enacting for decades.

And in the wonderful American justice system, bribing an attorney general is not illegal if you just claim that it wasn't a bribe.

Repealing the ACA seems fairly popular.
