Yes, it is. People who pay taxes because they have to, are not being charitable. But that doesn't change the fact that many democracies have chosen to have higher taxes and better welfare systems and that the people who voted or otherwise expresses approval for such systems are charitable. The fact that in the US, so many people instead voted for Trump and not Bernie, demonstrates conclusively that you are a generally uncharitable bunch ( and generally stupid too).

How can anyone claim the US is compassionate?

How many civillians has the US murdered since 1944?

I pretty much assure you it's the opposite of compassionate.

Ok then, free health care for everyone! 😵
it's not free, o least impressive one. you are paying for it, but you are paying much less because everyone else is paying with you, according to their income and because someone you elected, that works for you, is managing that money, not a manager in a big pharmaceutical or insurance company whose intention is to make money.

get this through your skull, free market doesn't work when an essential product is in question. what are you gonna do about that cancer if you don't like the price they are asking? die on principle?

so rather than get new tanks to add to the thousands of tanks you already have or give tax breaks for the uber wealthy so they can add millions to the billions they already have and are sitting doing nothing, you allow each and every american the safety a health insurance provides. that way the american will spend money in your economy rather than save it in case he gets sick someday.

socialism actually saves money if you do it right.
