About pzn2pawn

Started playing as a young teenager at the old Minneapolis chess club after reading all the Fred Reinfeld books in my school library. It was good experience to play strong adult players and losing a lot at first, but gradually gaining some skill. The strongest player in the club was Milton Otteson, the last non-gm to beat Fischer in a tournament game. (That was 1957, a little before my time) I played some OTB tournaments but didn't like spending whole weekends playing, so I started playing postal chess and came to prefer it, playing by (snail) mail off and on over several decades in USCF and APCT events. Now I prefer fast games on this site. I will take skulls when I see them, and expect you will do the same. Time limits are part of chess. Have a good game!
