    Hi,

A tournament has been set up so we can remember Mike
and have some good fun 'Mike would like this' games.

    Tournament 22106

If anyone has played a good game post it here and the game that gets the most 'thumbs
up' will win a prize. an autographed copy of my 'Mastering Chess'. and 'Rampant Chess.'

(....and no ' that is the booby prize jokes'.) 🙂

I already own both of your books, so I am not in the running. 🙂

I truly did learn the bishop sacrifice from Mastering Chess !!!

    My only fan!

Iin the event of a thumbs up tie you get to be decide who wins.

Then forge my signature on the books and send them to the winner.
(within a week they will appear on E-Bay, I'll buy them and send them back to you.)

This is awesome, and I was highly motivated until PBFF trumped us all. Now I am playing for second-best.

    Was looking through the groups

Look how unbalanced group 20 is :/

All the rest seem fine, good luck everyone, and remember to think "what would Mike do?" 🙂

i think mike would have laughed at the 20th group. The battle for fourth might be interesting in that group 😀

As group 20 is concerned: there is an expression in Serbian "13th pig" (probably there is an Anglo-Saxon equivalent with "chair" instead I am no sure), so this group is a kind of lost luggage room. Like FIFA used to put Yougoslavia, Spain and Roumania at the same group in 1970's.

A couple of games have finished already.

John McRow - jankrb, Mikelom Memorial Tournament

White a bit to anxious to get the Queens off.

Almost every time I play jankrb, he gives me a wedgie and takes my lunch money. And he is very polite and friendly about it!

I got tricked. I had a bunch of games come in from the Lomax tournie and got one from Nigol. So I accepted thinking it was a 7/7 game. Turns out it was a 1 day timeout thing and I timed out. I guess that was my fault for not looking closer but that was a nasty trick anyway, I think. I told him not to bother asking me for another game.
