    Anybody who needs more than 8 "boolits" (1 in chamber, 7 in an easily detachable mag) is either a gross amateur or someone who wants to shoot up a school or a movie theater.

    Gun writer Jeff Cooper put it a bit more eloquently:
    "If you can't solve your problem with 8 rounds of .45, you probably can't solve your problem".
    That said, when the pucker factor hits it's easy to fire a lot of rounds, look how many shots it took to bring down Mike Brown in Ferguson.

    Too much recoil...you're supposed to shoot twice in the chest and once in the head in rapid succession.
