    Hi,
I am new to this site. I would like to play unusual board
Settings. How far can i go setting up my own board.
Looks like there are some limitations and i noticed
Strange behavior of pawns, some are able to move sideways
Like in Berolina chess. Any ideas or explanation would be
    Appreciated,
    Cheers.

I should try the help forum.
There's lots of people go on there who know about set ups including the fischer random set up system

You can set up your won board when clicking on "New game" and choosing "Set board game" on the left hand side menue.

I don't think that you can make pawns go sideways...

here is a game with an interesting non-standard setup: Game 10730828
