    ...just sent me this text:

AN AUDIENCE OF ONE?!? WhoTF does this guy think he is?!?

Get this MF out of my democratic government NOW!!!
We have not yet seen the nadir of MAGA stupidity. As Pondy says, there’s no biggest number, and there’s no smallest negative number either.

    He’s a narcissist.
Everything is about defending his weak little ego.

A judge has power over him, and that is not possible (in his mind), so he lashes out, constantly bending truths and facts to suit what his ego needs.

It’s actually quite fascinating to see it play out like this. Most narcissists are quiet about it and just beat up their wives and the like.

Does he not realize judges have at least some judicial discretion when presiding over these trials that can have an impact on the verdict? Does he not realize judges decide prison sentences for those found guilty?

He’s grandstanding. It’s all he knows. Any publicity, even bad publicity, means people are talking about him. Look at any national news outlet: Trump, Trump, Trump. It’s so obvious that he thrives on making a spectacle of himself. Did Bill Clinton, or Obama, or Bush Sr., or Bush Jr., or Reagan, or Carter, make headlines when they left office? No, they retired into quiet obscurity. Trump cannot not be talked about. So he instigates ever more scurrilous incidents, just so people have to notice him. “Mommy, mommy, look at me!” He never grew past age 5, he just got louder.

In their minds Trump IS a king already and therefore literally above the law and they want him to be exactly like that if by some horrible situation he is reelected and he would become a dictator in a heartbeat if he had enough allies to pull off the coup that failed last time. That coup attempt was just rehearsal.

I agree but I think he's working with an outdated set of skills that worked very well for him, until the me too movement came along. The world has changed and no longer validates or enables his behaviour and the old dog he is, is unable to learn new tricks.

His strategy of intimidation brought him certain benefits in civil suits against private individuals and corporations, but will not work in a criminal suit against a state or federal government. Obviously he has not yet figured this out and either he’s not listening to his own legal team, or his own legal team is advising him rather badly.

You are the last person who could grasp the gambits of Trump. Note that he goes UP in popularity every time he is in the news for these travesties…., then note that he just miiiiiiiiiigghht have reasons for what he does.

OK, please enlighten me (since you clearly know more than the rest of the people here) what are the reasons Trump might have to want to attack a judge who is presiding over this NY trial?

Please give us an example, protecting someone's rights, on a given day?

Oh, and from whence does that obligation get imbued into me?
Yesterday, you paid for my rights to be protected for one more year.

And, yesterday, I paid for your rights to be protected. For one more year.

The obligation comes when you turned 18 and did not renounce your American citizenship. You could have said "I am no longer American," gone to sea, and avoided this obligation. Maybe there is even land somewhere on the planet where such obligations do not exist. I don't know. You have to go look.

But here, you have the obligation not just to be a good boy, but to help protect others from those who are NOT good boys.

We call that 'civilization.' We implemented it about 6000 years ago.

This is the kicker. This is proof positive of Trump's narcicism. Read Shav's post if you can't connect the dots Whatever Trump understands or truly believes, he has totally miscalculated the behavior required to be a President or ex. And him dragging the Presidency through a torrid version of a WWF challenge is something a majority of Americans will never validate. Trump has yet to realize that he is not bigger than the Presidency and that his behavior as a candidate provokes a deep cognitive dissonance even among his ardent supporters.

And obviously this is not a critique of you mchill but rather a riff on your view to school the maganuts among us who steadfastly cling to their fantasies.

You are right about Biden with his blank check. How much money are we up to now? Would you look that up for us. Have you heard he wants to pay off student loans? Do you think that will be it, because I think there will be something else, to pay off credit card debt, for example. Then he would control interest rates, restricting the interest a bank can charge on a mortgage ...[text shortened]... what democracy is, would be a good person to ask about Biden‘s transformation into being a dictator.
The essential thing about dictators is that they never leave office peacefully and on schedule. Now look at how Trump left office, and the legacy of January 6th.

So you know more than the DA's involved. Where did you get your legal training? Have you passed your Bar exams yet?
Besides that, I see no comment by you about the morality of a defendant attacking juries. You see no problem with that? I guess in planet Joe1, that is the new normal.

But of course if it was Biden under these charges and treated the jury like that, HANG THE SOB.
